My new season collection is about staying active in my expression with a nod to CY Twombly an artist I find interesting l. Have a great spring everyone

Revision of the midnight Geom tree now to the sun is rising on the Geom. The reds are growing warm as sun comes up. Many of my Geom trees from the series were exhibited at the HEALTH PARTNERS MEDICAL CLINIC during what we called an internship contract. The tree at that time was a central display and logo symbol. I feel this series is offering in visual form to those in the medical sciences that were involved in the healing community at this clinic.

I have been out traveling and spending time with family. I devised a mobile art studio so I could include my art activity. I really feel much more relaxed and free of brain clutter when I am creating/painting

Aprils curated exhibition at the Arthub Kingman AZ. I am showing my art in this exhibition and am grateful once again for the people that are contending with the challenges that covid-19 is creating. They have created a virtual studio exhibition to help overcome the difficulties. I hope you all see the show on behalf of all that went into making it happen in this surreal unprecedented time

Moving forward. Such a wonderful gathering of positive supportive people. Every community needs an Arthub. People need to be valued for embracing imagination, thoughts and visual expression. Feed our inventive minds and keep them vibrant. Great things come from great minds

This is the season of food, gatherings, family, gifts, party, snow and winter fun. Stay well everyone

August flew by and September is here. First and foremost I thank god for good people and the force behind them that makes them want to do good.I came into it with some scary happenings. I thank God for the people that took my calls and were able to skillfully communicate to a successful result. I thank god for the people that made sure I got to a good place. Then I thank god for the towns that embraced me and cared to get me back on my feet.

I do luv summer I really do though July is comin on strong with high temps. Fourth of July always means a lot in my heart as I luv what it stands for. This year July is not going to be so full of the summer fun as it should be but I always make the best of whatever the day brings. I so luv our round beach towels and can't wait til I know one is gonna be on the beaches.

My sweet baby is having a birthday this month and he just loves it. He is having a grand time hiking and visiting all the horses in the southern states

Oh my! So many beautiful blooms. Exploring and capturing the blooms of the desert cactus with all its surprising color variations is a treat

Considering all the people that came together in peace to make this nation a better life for everyone. I take the time right now to thank anyone I may have forgotten.

I started a snowman series in 2005 and annually created snowman artwork each year after with perhaps a few missing here or there. Of course not everyone experiences snow during the holiday season though it is widely known as an icon.

For me the trick or treat as a kid was the most fun and dressing up as character for parties in my later years. Other than that I think everyone has great ways to enjoy this holiday

Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I usually need the cool down from all the summer heated days. Its so filled with brilliant, rich warm color. Though I love summer a seasonal cycle really is a good thing

Retail is always way ahead of us and sometimes its disheartening when you go shopping. Of course when it comes down to the wire you already have a good idea where everything you want is. Getting back into the school groove is an exciting time though

But I have not been able to get it all in yet. For me it seems summer has just begun.

Into July already and its time to plan those getaways and summer vacations

Nothing like a June bride

Hey! Dads can have a really tough role in the family experience. He can be all tied up dangling like a puppet on strings with no seemingly way to get much of anything really accomplished. Yet some how some way, not always as perfectly as its probably expected, but family life goes on. Do whatever you can for dad this year.

Remember Mother. Honor mother today or someone in your life that you feel may have taken on that mothering role when you needed it. I believe we need our mothers no matter what our age. Its not about our mother having something in common with us or being that perfect role model you may have wanted. Find a kind word, a card, flowers or something to just let your mother know you are grateful and thankful for the pure fact that she is MOTHER

Plant a tree. Earth day celebrates nature and all its gifts. Plant a tree and keep the circle of abundant life going

Easter brings many traditions. Even those that are not religiously devout make this a time to honor.
Of course one of my favorite traditions is the Easter egg coloring. Easter time includes fun as well.

For the first time I am picked to be artist for the week and I love it. I remember this co worker that won oodles
and I mean oodles of awards. I have always wanted to be her. She finally got noticed as the talented artist that she
really was. It was a great thing to see happen.

March is around the corner and St. Patrick's day is on its way. The Irish have been in my family tree all the way back to the 1300's or maybe earlier. I still have distant relatives in Ireland.

Valentines is coming soon. Be sure to show your love this month. I am sure we all show our love as much as we can,
but especially so on February 14th VALENTINES DAY

I am preparing and getting ready to usher the new year in. Closing the file on 2014, planning, and setting goals for a fresh start. The climax, be it a party, gathering, tradition, kiss or clinging wine glasses, is the final moment when it is officially 2015.
Its been a full year for me with lots of hellos and a few goodbyes. I think 2015 shows much promise. See you all in 2015

After all the holiday fuss & muss we may be looking for that moment where silence is golden. One hour in the day when we can just listen to an empty winter sky during our walk with the dog.

So much to be thankful for today that there may not be enough room to get all the words down.
God watches over me despite those moments when I think I just can't get it right. It can take awhile
but I do get thru it and once again I can smile

This is my Christmas story. I believe it was in 2005. I had a wonderful Christmas dinner with a long time friend and her family. I went home after a wonderful time. It was around 10:00 pm and I was filled with the spirit of love and all that Christmas brings. I felt moved to paint. I was not aware of time. I just felt a sense of complete bliss. I got all my materials together and began to work on a large canvas, larger than most I had previously done. This was not a planned or preconceived piece. I just began to stroke paint on the canvas mixing the colors in swirls and swooshes. I was so connected to the flow of movement. The focus was so deep and intimate. I kept going and going until I stopped. I had no idea how much time had passed. I stepped away from the canvas to see what I had done. I had such a joy in my heart. I looked and looked but it took a moment before I could identify the images. Oh my gosh they were birds! I was not one to paint animals such as this anytime before. This was truly a magical meaningful thing that I had done. I could hardly sleep that night. When a few of my friends took a look at the picture I didn't see it but they did. There were seven doves in flight and this has significance in the bible. I know this painting was not done by me but through me. This was a special moment in my life when I was filled with the holy spirit on Christmas night. This painting has meaning to me beyond any words I could read from the bible because it is physical evidence to me of something I experienced. I named it "To fly" for reasons not yet known. The day will come when I know

Diva. She is the larger than life performer. We all wanna be her. We wanna be the center of attention and the most important
focal point. So let your sister or best friend be her on Christmas. Nothing feels better than to give to one that really needs it

I am feeling like that road stuck right in the middle. I no longer have patience for those that cannot grasp the value coming from creative production. For years I bought cakes, designer labels, home decor and more. I did not really need any of these things that most certainly went beyond the fundamental requirements of my life. I bought these things because I understood why one goes beyond the basic requirements. They were giving to the world something of themselves that they felt they did well. Do yourself a favor feeble minded folks think about what I say here. For all you pizza makers out there I don't want your pizza cuz its just a pile of dough with other stuff that My thunder thighs don't really need. Despite the fact that you pride yourself as a talented pizza maker. Its just pizza......just the same as all this stuff here at FAA is just images.

This child was so in love with ballet that she wore a tutu everyday everywhere. The tutu never came off even at bedtime. What a crazy beautiful passionate child

It is a little soon for me to be thinking about Christmas. Generally I wait for after Thanksgiving. But the photo I took of this Holiday dazzle women sorta puts a little sparkle in the day. Everyone can use a little sparkle when we have season changes and all the hoopla in getting ready for those big fun days. So here she is

The snow is reported to be coming down in areas of the US as it does each year. Its a winter wonderland. As a born Minnesotan I grew up with snow but I was always excited for our first snowfall. All the beginnings of winter are magical thru til mid winter when it all just gets tiring. So here we go.

This mixed media art piece from the 2014 fall/winter collection "Color fusions" was a featured selection by Schroder Konate of VA with the mixed media group thru FAA in November. The desert is full of all sorts of interesting plant life, one of which is sagebrush. There is much beauty to be found in the desert. The natural world is a never ending resource for inspiration.

Like this layered landscape of hills our life needs patches of pink. Pink is kind, soft but happy. The picture is not complete unless it has that accented patch of pink

Rocks harbor alot of history. The story is written in stone. What once was remains here for us to look at. I find it interesting to photograph the remenants left in the mountainsides

"There is water in them there hills" In all its arid and dry climate, water can be found in among the mountain regions. I am often amazed at the color these pools of water are in photos with out any added saturation from photoshop.

Sometimes through our work we are drawn to whats beyond our reason. Is it some genetic link? My ancestors worked in the granite mines. I have a passion to photograph rocks. Aha! It is one of those aha! moments. What aha moments do you have in your work life?

Sometimes in life even when your a girl you need to take steps of your own mind that may help make your pathway to the place you believe is your destiny.

The solid blue mountain wall is so much larger. This wall reaches a span across the earth that is so vast. The smaller charcoal ridge does not have the mass. Just enough sprinkling of yellow to fill this picture with a cheerful smile

Some people really have no consideration for others. Some just cannot see the pain they bring into others life. From the shadows the dark and hurtful truths must come out and be dealt with.

Nothing like it. Lovin it! "The tale of a crazi seahorse" " Emerging layers" and " Interwoven hills" water and earth. Lovely Naomi of Australia, Bob & Nadine of Arizona understand these elements as do I. These images have a farther reach now to all that agree.

Yes! you know what I mean and it sucks

Writing a bio can be an interesting challenge. What do I say, how do I say it best. Edit, rewrite, edit again. Is it long enough. Is it too long. Am I giving myself enough credit. Do I sound like an over the top braggart. Am I telling whats most important. Well you get the point. Writing is not just playtime.
Writing is more labor intensive then you may realize. Its easy to be critical in some cases. And the masterful ones seem so perfect that criticism is a must even if there is nothing but brilliance to critique.

Words are great fun and lovely ways for expressing myself poetically. In this fast world today with long to do lists I am really appreciating words well said in shortest paragraphs possible. Its a challenge to write in short paragraphs especially when specifics are required

Lots of schools of thought and shared opinions here. My art has been a kind of a Labyrinth. The journey through the maze to the center where my true voice is found. You may have found your own voice as have I and the greatest freedom is to be able to express it. We all can do that here. You can have your say as can I. Honor it. Its a great gift

We have come a long way on this journey. When we look behind we can see we have traveled a great distance. When we focus on the pavement at our feet right now we want to see movement. When we look ahead to where were going it seems so far away still. We need to take into account all these viewpoints we are considering so that we can be grateful. Then we need to remember to notice the joy in it and smile because this is it. This is life. This is our life and all that crosses our path.

# 1 I have 12 pieces here in my collection and have finally updated my home site with the information for my viewers to see. I have been producing consistantly since 1999.
I have been doing my part, my purpose, by faith, hard work, dedication and much prayer

# 2 I have been partaking in the community discussions, offering my support as well as learning for myself. The day to day details of being part of this fabulous group does have wonderful moments. There are also the times when you have to roll up your sleeves and get into some hard parts.

#3 Feels great to be here. Its a process. I am taking on a little bit each day. I have been at this for years folks but my journey is unique. The path winds and curves and stops at dead ends for awhile. I get a little miffed at all there is to do at times. You would be shocked if I showed you my
actual portfolio detailing my trail. My college interview requested all my background details and they were honored to have me.....I really earned it folks! Yes I did. Glad to be here! Lovin it! lovin it!

#5 My goodness. its been quite a day. Added a few of my figuritve pieces today. It was not something I planned. I present my work in collections. This time I felt that this venue needed pieces added to allow people to see my work from a portfolio viewpoint.
#6 Its a rolling up my sleeves day. I am gonna try an add some more portfolio pieces to give my viewers a little more perspective. Invest in your artists people. At the very least a card. Its affordable. Give up the beer bash weekend one time and do something good

#9 Hello. I added twitter and Pinterest today. I also added several new photos along with joining several groups. The world will get more chances to see my work now. Its going to be much easier to find that piece of artwork that you connect to and want to include in your life.
#10 I have been so busy. Three of my abstract photos have been selected and featured by Galleria of Interiors and one selected for the cover of Mnartists.org/LC. I am honored and grateful. I now have had 1,000 visitors and 10 FAA artists following me. I feel that I am getting a nice start here though there is so much more for me to learn. It can be over whelming but at the same time its exciting.
